The Next 100
The Next 100 is a bold step of faith built around one clear conviction: One Vision — 100% Mission. As a Foursquare church, we are committed to making Jesus known locally and globally by living as Spirit-empowered, Christ-centered, mission-driven people. This campaign reflects our heart to see every tithe dollar fuel direct ministry impact: reaching the lost, serving the city of Decatur, strengthening the next generation, and sending the hope of the gospel beyond our walls.
The Next 100 started with the question, “What if every tithe dollar went directly to our community?” From there, the Lord expanded our idea of what it looks like to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Decatur and the surrounding area. We are in year one of a five-year plan to get us to a place of investing every tithe dollar in direct ministry! With the three campaigns below, we will make space in our current budget to launch ministry-related businesses that will eventually pay for salaries, building & grounds work, and ministries that serve our church body inside the walls of our building. Ideas for these ministry-related businesses include retirement or assisted-living community, counseling & social service center, a Christian camp, and ministry conferences!
We have a goal of $60,000 for each of the three campaigns to replace tithe dollars going to maintain our facilities and grounds, equip the NextGen ministries of the church, and expand our Making Jesus Known projects. We want each person to pray for The Next 100, to ask the Lord how they can financially support one or more of the campaigns, and watch for ministry opportunities where you can use your gifts and talents to support this vision.
Making Jesus Known is to fund the outreach, evangelism, and missions efforts of our church so that no neighbor, coworker, or nation goes without hearing the name of Jesus.
The Cyrus Initiative is to ensure that our church facility remains a place ready for ministry — well maintained, properly equipped, and continually developed for future growth.
